It’s going to take all of us working together to educate Iowa lawmakers about the challenges faced by Iowans with disabilities who want to work (or work more) but need Medicaid for health insurance.

Join us at the Iowa Capitol in Des Moines as we speak directly with legislators about the Let Us Work campaign and the need to modernize Iowa’s outdated work and Medicaid rules.
What to Expect:
• You will meet with legislators (in small groups or paired with an advocate)
• You’ll share why this issue matters to you or your community
• We will provide talking points, one-page handouts, and support
• No prior experience is needed — we will help every step of the way
• Your presence shows lawmakers that Iowans care about fairness, independence, and opportunity
Who Should Attend:
Self-advocates, family members, caregivers, professionals, or anyone who believes Iowans with disabilities should be able to work without fear of losing the supports they need.
