PUBLIC POLICY PRIORITIES
PUBLIC POLICY PRIORITIES
The DD Council continuously advocates for policies that make Iowa a better place for people living with disabilities. Each year, we develop a legislative agenda that outlines our priorities. Browse the full agenda below for an overview.
LISTENING SESSIONS
Our Public Policy Committee is starting to work on our public policy priorities for 2027. The “priorities” are suggestions that we will give to Iowa lawmakers and members of Congress about policy change that could make life in Iowa better for people with disabilities.
The first thing we are doing is LISTENING to you.
Please join us for one or all of these listening sessions so we can hear your thoughts, ideas, stories and suggestions about changes that we can work on together. Each listening session has a topic to focus on, but you can join any or all sessions with any idea.
