NEW ADVOCACY TOOL: Writing Letters to the Editor

Newspapers and magazines let their readers write "letters to the editor."  Sometimes they are online only, sometimes they are printed.  They are ways editors let their readers comment on a story that they published, or about a topic that is important.  It might be about an event, a bill, or encourage people to take action. It might just be expressing their view on something.

Many advocates forget that letters to the editor are a great way to get your message out to others in their community.  Elected officials read their local news, including letters to the editor.  If you are new to writing these, we have a great new tool to help you. Click here to check it out!
